Saint George and the dragon : a golden legend. Boston : Little, Brown, c1984. (Hodges' books have great illustrations....)
The striped ships. New York : M.K. McElderry Books, c1991. (A longer book that details events surrounding the Norman Conquest from the perspective of the commoners.)
