I gave my student an activity on pirates and a couple of maps to look over; one included labeling the oceans of the world.

I also asked him to write a short report about what he thought of Don Quixote:

Was he a man of his time, behind the times, or ahead of the times?  Why?

Why do you think readers have loved the story of Don Quixote ever since it was written right down to present day?

What do you think of the length of the original book?  Have you heard the word "quixotic"?  What does it mean?  Do you think that is a good description of Don Quixote?
What are your opinions of Sancho Panza?

We are working on his timeline for this year and I AM going to manage to get a picture of it posted THIS year!
